William Nelson is a senior at Maine College of Art pursuing a degree in sculpture. He has lived in multiple states like California and Massachusetts but has spent most of his life near the Maine coast. His sculpture is formed with mediums like metal, stone and wood which are used to ask questions on infrastructure what we would call architectural novels modern architectural. There are notions towards minimalism and restructured modernism represented in his goals within the execution of the work. William has worked with steel production artists John Nelson and John Hukins to create various works, most notably a public sculpture for a college campus. William has also designed furniture for public spaces in the town of Boothbay Harbor.
